“Behind the Scenes,” the Daverio1933 event to discover how a jewel is created
A red curtain welcomes visitors to “Behind the Scenes,” the Daverio1933 event that transforms the Bergamo showroom into a stage. The performance is the birth of a jewel: for one week, from May 10 to 15, all those who visit the Bergamo jewelry store have the opportunity to explore what normally remains hidden from the public, namely the creative process that begins with an idea and leads to the creation of a jewel.
The creation of a jewel, a true spectacle
Two large red curtains open onto the door and shop windows, introducing visitors to the heart of the Daverio1933 event. Inside, a specially designed space, also inspired by the theater, hosts the live performance of Luca Daverio, the creative mind and soul of the Maison, who guides clients through the discovery of the journey that leads to the creation of a jewel.
Everything begins with the first pencil stroke, which gives life to an initial intuition, to define the idea that then takes shape in the design and 3D development. Subsequently, the selection of materials follows, metals and precious stones, up to the goldsmith craftsmanship, such as gem setting and the knurling and chasing of gold. All phases of jewelry production come to life directly within the showroom, where Luca, together with Pablo, Eva, and Martina, accompany visitors through each step, from the first drawing to the finished jewel.
Luca Daverio’s performance will be broadcast live on dedicated screens visible even from outside the store, showing his hands engaged in the various craftsmanship techniques.
In addition to witnessing the creation of a jewel live, the public can experience another unprecedented opportunity: exploring firsthand, on a dedicated computer, the drawings and 3D models created by Luca Daverio, also discovering all the details of the finished jewels, thanks to special maps that show the characteristics and position of the precious stones. This event is also the occasion to present two new creations from the Ricci and Timeless collections as a preview.
The Daverio1933 event, a unique opportunity to revive family jewels
“Behind the Scenes” also offers the possibility to experience a personalized service. During the event days, jewelry store clients can bring their family jewels they would like to renew to the showroom: with Luca Daverio they will be able to imagine a new setting and obtain a first dedicated design.
Guests will be welcomed inside the showroom with coffee or a toast and accompanied to discover the Maison’s creations. All clients who participate in the event will be granted a special right of first refusal on a selection of jewels signed by Daverio1933.
