Sculpture in Jewelry
Works of art that can be easily worn. This phrase encapsulates the essence of Daverio1933 creations, an Italian company specializing in artisanal jewelry and founded 37 years ago: it was 1980 when Luca Daverio opened his first workshop in Bergamo and began producing unique pieces crafted with repoussé and chasing techniques, drawing inspiration from the art inherited from his father. In his atelier, Luca Daverio creates original, harmonious jewelry that is pleasant to wear yet timeless in its beauty, thanks to the knowledge he acquired as a child watching his father work—a sculptor and painter. To pay homage to him, his master, Luca Daverio named the workshop Daverio1933; the date refers to the year his father created his first jewelry pieces: copper ornaments, defined as “miniature sculptures.”
For his creations, he uses only quality materials. He works almost exclusively with gold, diamonds, and colored stones. Part artist, part stylist, part architect, and part restorer: these are the many facets of Luca Daverio. Like an artist, he designs his jewelry by letting inspiration and the moment guide him. His personality is unmistakable and he transmits it to those who appreciate his creations. Like a stylist, he designs true capsule collections. Among these, ForEverHug Me stands out (hug me forever), because the pieces that compose it resemble embraces. Like an architect, he realizes projects requested by clients by analyzing their tastes and requirements.
Finally, like a restorer, he gives new life to old jewelry. All this because: “Those who purchase our jewelry identify their own style and taste by sharing our company philosophy of uniqueness.” Christmas is approaching, a trip to Bergamo requires a mandatory stop at Daverio 1933 to end the evening beautifully at an excellent restaurant in Bergamo Alta, by candlelight…
