OPAL, OCTOBER PRECIOUS STONE

Opal stone of the month, Opal, October gemstone
Opal is a unique gem of its kind thanks to its infinite combinations of colors and iridescent shades that resemble a rainbow. The presence of its characteristic effect, called "harlequin", characterized by a milky white with flashes of color or by shades ranging from blue to red to green led the ancient poets to associate opal with galaxies, fireworks or even the incandescent volcanoes.
In ancient Bedouin legends it is said that this gem was born from the explosion of lightning in the sky. It was believed that it contained within itself the color of all the stones known on earth.

The Greeks discovered the saving power of the opal using it as a talisman against disease and believing it gave success and luck to its owner.
For many centuries, thanks to its magical power and positivity, this stone was given the symbol of purity, hope and truth.
According to modern crystal therapy, opal stimulates in the wearer an unmistakable joy of living, pushing to see one's life "in color" and makes emotions more intense. It is known that this stone is used for problems related to the female system: to rebalance hormones and the nervous system. Not only that, it also helps regulate our body's water levels by purifying blood and kidneys. Wearing this gem contributes to an improvement in hair and nails.
Giving away opal is said to be a good omen for celebrating the XNUMXth wedding anniversary.
It was discovered in India and subsequently imported to ancient Rome where it was given the name of opal here.
To date, opal deposits are famous in different parts of the world, but the most important one is found in Australia where there is an exceptional production of black and white opals.
