For over 40 years, DAVERIO1933 has been designing and creating unique and original jewelry in the goldsmith workshop in Bergamo<\/strong>, in the city center. Here, the creations signed by Luca Daverio are born, an expert jewelry designer who continues the family tradition that began in the 1930s with his father Franco, an eclectic artist, and is carried forward today together with his son Pablo, the third generation of the Daverio family. <\/p>\n

The History of ATELIER DAVERIO<\/h2>\n

It all began in the distant year 1933, when Franco Daverio<\/a>, at the time a young man of only 16 years old, began creating his first “jewelry-sculptures” while attending the School of Applied Arts in Cant\u00f9.
\nAlthough still very young, Franco immediately showed his great abilities in working metals with ancient techniques such as embossing and chasing, which he used to create sculptures and jewelry in copper, silver, and gold. In his works, Franco Daverio represents instinctive and emotional images, which made him known in the art world, where he quickly became renowned and appreciated in Italy and abroad. <\/p>\n

In the 1980s, his son Luca learned jewelry-making techniques from his father and brought his creations to life, reworking Franco’s style in a modern and innovative way. Luca opened the first store and a goldsmith workshop in Bergamo<\/strong>, where he creates his jewelry entirely by hand, such as the Sculptors of Jewel collection. Subsequently, together with other goldsmiths, he would create jewelry signed by Luca Daverio, such as the Heritage collection. A few years later, the goldsmith forge of the DAVERIO1933 brand moved to Valenza, where Luca still creates his pieces today, in collaboration with the best Italian goldsmiths and with the support of cutting-edge technologies. <\/p>\n

Here we still create some of the DAVERIO1933 collections, such as Fancy Color&Beads<\/a>, composed mostly of bead-cut sapphires threaded on gold chains, and Heritage<\/a>, now offered in rose gold.<\/p>\n

In our goldsmith workshop in Bergamo<\/strong>, we continue to perform additional work on our jewelry, such as knurling and engraving, or ring sizing. Often clients entrust us with their family jewelry to restore them through cleaning the metal and stones: often just a few days and a few dozen euros are enough to restore gold to its original color, polish it, and bring stones back to their brilliance. <\/p>\n

The Workshop in Valenza<\/h2>\n

The most important work on DAVERIO1933 jewelry takes place in the workshop in Valenza.<\/strong> The goldsmith tradition of the Piedmontese city began around the mid-1800s and has led Valenza to become known worldwide as the center of made-in-Italy jewelry. The most renowned Italian brands of international fame, such as Damiani and Bulgari, have their headquarters in the Valenza goldsmith district, and Cartier will also arrive in 2023. <\/p>\n

The DAVERIO1933 collections are also born in the Valenza workshop, the true headquarters of the brand together with the showroom and the goldsmith workshop in Bergamo<\/strong>. Here, thanks to expert goldsmiths, the jewelry model is worked from 3D resin printing to the piece cast in metal, using cutting-edge technologies in the goldsmith field. An example is the special machine that allows stones to be set under a microscope, a technique that was also used by Luca Daverio for the creations of his ForEverHugMe<\/a> collection. The Valenza workshop also performs titanium work, almost unique in Italy, for the Sidereum<\/a> collection. Another innovative tool is the laser welder, which allows very precise work and is also used for repairs. <\/p>\n

The Goldsmith Workshop in Bergamo for your Personalized Jewelry<\/h3>\n

The DAVERIO1933 atelier is also the place where our custom jewelry is born, created by Luca and Pablo Daverio starting from the client’s idea and desires. In recent years, interest in personalized jewelry has been growing, allowing the creation of a unique piece, custom-made for the person who will wear it. The client thus becomes the protagonist of the jewelry creation together with the designers and can choose the shape, metals, and precious stones. They can then see a 3D model before proceeding to the final creation. <\/p>\n

DAVERIO1933 jewelry are first and foremost original creations, the result of artisanal experience and passion and artistic expertise developed over decades. This solid tradition is combined with interest in new technologies that allow us to increasingly perfect jewelry-making and creation techniques.
\nIn the goldsmith workshop in Bergamo<\/strong>, we bring our collections to life starting from 3D design, which allows us to create a realistic model of the jewelry. Based on the 3D project, we then create resin models that become the foundation for jewelry work. <\/p>\n
